Once upon a time on our little farm we had a yurt……and very popular it was too. The problem was that folk wanted to rent it in winter. Just a bit chilly for winter accommodation in these parts so we decided to build a round house.
So here it is, our Unique roundhouse is made using local natural materials, with terrace, deck, solar heated shower and composting toilet. Totally off-grid and so perfect for adventurous types who want an experience with a low environmental impact. The roundhouse has full electricity, running water and a superb level of natural temperature control: strawbale walls, clay floor and green roof design combine to keep the space cool in hot weather and cosy in cold weather.
